Wedding: Judy & Thomas

I was referred to Judy and Thomas through family friends, and from our first meeting I knew that this wedding was going to be special. Judy and Thomas were actually married in a civil ceremony in Germany over the summer, but they wanted to have a religious ceremony in Chicago. So a lot of the "traditional" activities (bouquet toss, cake cutting, etc) were out, replaced with a relaxed and casual atmosphere. Throw in an absolutely gorgeous evening and an outdoor reception at Graue Mill in Oak Brook, IL, and you have the recipe for a fantastic celebration!

As you can tell from the photos, these two need no direction in front of the camera. Incredibly natural, comfortable, and honest — Judy & Thomas gave me so much love to work with for our portrait session.

Judy & Thomas' ceremony took place at Christ the King Church in Lombard, IL.

After a quick Starbucks stop, we headed over to Graue Mill for portraits and the party. This was my first wedding at Graue Mill — what a beautiful venue!

Judy & Thomas were the first on the dance floor, and the last to leave. What a couple!

All images from the day are available at my photo Archive — the password is Judy's last name. Prints are available for purchase via the website as well. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any issues with or questions about the Archive.

Congratulations again to Judy & Thomas, and to their families. It was such a pleasure and joy to be a part of your incredible day!
