Mykonos never disappoints, but this trip exceeded even my high expectations.

Elena and I had the opportunity to spend a few days in Mykonos as part of SentinelOne’s President’s Club. Our events team truly outdid themselves: thoughtful gifts, epic dinners, unique excursions, and parties that went late into the Mykonian nights.

Note: A number of these photos were shot by my friend Tavit, who is a wonderful professional photographer and who we were lucky to have join us in Mykonos.

ORD-ATH-JMK

Now that United offers direct Chicago to Athens service, the trip over to Greece is incredibly easy. I burned some miles to upgrade to Polaris, too, which made the whole experience (pre-flight lounge, lay-flat seats, Perrier-Jouët Champagne, etc) that much better. We even got to finish season 1 of The Pitt on the way!

Royal Myconian

Our home base for the week was the Royal Myconian on Elia Beach – a place that made leaving almost unnecessary. The staff, food, saltwater pool, and exceptional Champagne selection kept us firmly in vacation mode.

The welcome party featured live music, Greek dancing (with plates to smash), and palm readings - exactly what we needed to fend off the jet lag.

Mykonos Town

On Wednesday night, a few of us headed into town for drinks, dinner, and dancing. As luck would have it, this night was Elena’s namesday (St. Helen), and everyone we met was down to celebrate with us.

We managed to catch sunset in Little Venice (Alefkandra) at Caprice, stopped by the windmills, and then wandered around the whitewashed alleys before taking a much-needed Champagne break at Aroma. Then it was off to a killer dinner at m-eating and cocktails/dancing late into the night at Interni.

I’m fortunate to work with a team that travels the way I travel.

Wine Tasting at Vioma

Our excursion was wine tasting at Vioma (βioma), an organic biodynamic vineyard and farm near Ano Mera. Our guide, Elena, brought genuine expertise to the history, food, and wine throughout the afternoon.

The Last Night

Our final night arrived before we could fully process the week. Before saying “goodbye” however, the team threw one last celebration. The photos tell the story better than any words I could write.

What’s a party these days without a little AI photo booth?

With a crazy early 6am flight back to Athens, I made the call to skip sleep entirely. A huge thanks to everyone who kept me company on my journey, and to Stephanos behind the bar for supporting my unconventional plan. It paid off: we made our flight, and caught a stunning sunrise over our Star Alliance-liveried plane at the Mykonos airport.
